At Vitafoods Europe 2026, PharmExtracta presents a portfolio that reflects both continuous evolution and targeted innovation. Mirgeal® GEL: reformulated for enhanced patient experience

Mirgeal® GEL returns to our portfolio with a completely renewed formulation, designed to enhance both performance and patient compliance. Building on a product already recognized for its effectiveness, the new version has been optimized to improve palatability and to further strengthen the synergy among its active components.

Its triple-action mechanism addresses reflux from multiple angles: the alginate component forms a protective barrier that helps limit reflux episodes, while the licorice-derived phytocomplex contributes to mucosal protection and anti-inflammatory activity. At the same time, bilberry extract (Mirtoselect®) supports mucosal repair and re-epithelialization.

Clinical evidence confirms the robustness of this approach, with up to a 74% reduction in reflux-related symptoms, alongside sustained benefits over time and improved tolerability compared to standard alginate-based solutions.

Brevicillin® Drops: precision probiotic during antibiotic therapy

Following its initial presentation at CPHI, Brevicillin® Drops is now brought to Vitafoods as a key element of PharmExtracta’s microbiome-focused innovation.

This formulation is based on Bifidobacterium breve PRL2020, a uniquely characterized probiotic strain that stands out for its resistance to Amoxicillin and Amoxicillin/clavulanic acid. This distinctive feature allows safe and effective co-administration during antibiotic therapy, helping to preserve microbiota balance at a critical time.

Clinical studies highlight its tangible benefits: Brevicillin® Drops significantly reduces the incidence of antibiotic-associated diarrhea—by up to 70% in children—while supporting the maintenance of beneficial bacterial populations and limiting the growth of opportunistic pathogens.

This makes it a clear example of a precision probiotic approach, tailored to specific therapeutic contexts.

Award finalists: science-backed solutions

PharmExtracta is honored to be shortlisted at the NutraIngredients Awards Europe 2026 with two products that exemplify our research-driven philosophy and clinical focus:
